Eligibility Criteria
To apply for Armed Forces Nursing Service AFNS 2024, you must
meet the following eligibility criteria:
Trained Nurse as Lieutenant (Female)
- Marital Status: Unmarried/Divorced/Widow/Separated Without Encumbrances.
- Women must be 18-28 years old by 31 December 2023.
- Eligibility:
- BSc Nursing (4x years) or 3x year Diploma and 1x year Midwifery
- Candidates must be enrolled in PNC.
- If you have dual citizenship you must submit one nationality to apply.
AFNS – BSc Nursing (Women)
- Marital Status: Married/Unmarried
- Ability:
- Matriculation with Science: Minimum 60% marks
- FSC Pre-Medical: Minimum 50% marks
- Candidate age should be 17-25 years as on 31st December 2023.
Physical standards
- Height must be 5 feet (152.4 cm).
- Weight: According to Body Mass Index (BMI).

B.Sc Nursing
A candidate appearing for FSc Part-II examinations (having
50% marks in 1st year) can apply with a Hope Certificate signed by the
Principal of the College/Institute where the candidate is studying to obtain
50% marks. Is.

submit their FSC results immediately.
Trained Nurse
- Candidates from all over the country can apply for Trained Nurse post.

Conditions of disqualification
- Rejected twice by General Headquarters (GHQ) Selection Board.
- Medically unfit by the Appellate Medical Board.
- A person who has resigned/withdrawn from an Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force) training academy/institution due to disciplinary problems, character defects, medical unfitness, or poor profile.
- has been dismissed or removed from any other official position;
- Only for BSc Nursing – Candidates who are already registered with Pakistan Nursing Council.
Additional information
Duration of training
BSc Nursing: Candidate will undergo four years training at
AFPGMI Rawalpindi, CMH Lahore, CMH Kharian, CMH Multan, CMH Quetta and PNS
Shifa Karachi.
Trained Nurses: Six weeks basic military training at AFPGMI
in Rawalpindi and CMH in Kharian.
Note: On successful completion of training the officer will
be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.
Bond
All selected candidates will be required to sign a warranty
agreement to serve in the army for at least ten years before starting training
in BSc Nursing.

To join Armed Forces Nursing Service AFNS in Pakistan Army,
you must have original photocopies of the following documents:
- Original Educational Certificate/Degree with 2 photocopies of each certificate attested
- Domicile (attested copy)
- NOC is required for already serving in government sector.
- (x3) Passport Size Photographs (Front/Back)
- National Identity Card (NIC) (New)
- Postal Order in Rs.100/- to Director General Personnel Administration (DGPA) Pakistan Army General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi.
